Fern was born blind on a beef farm in Northern New South Wales.

As a blind Droughtmaster-cross calf, her future was incredibly uncertain. Finding a safe home for a calf like Fern is not easy, and without intervention, her options were very limited.

With help from our community, we were able to have Fern fully assessed by a vet and confirm that, aside from her vision, she was healthy.

She was then offered a permanent home with Cranky’s FARM in Queensland, where she will be safe for the rest of her life.

Fern was one of the lucky ones.
